This weekend, January 9th and 10th 6000 brides attended the wedding trade show in Place Bonaventure, Montreal.

Amazing event! All possible types of wedding decorations were on display!

WOW! Balloons, Inc were invited to decorate a booth for “Natalka Celebrations” – an event planing company. Since it was for a wedding – we have made the heart. Since their colors are Burgundy and Champagne -these are the colors of the balloons!

What we did not take pictures of (and we should have!!!) – were sculptures made out of chocolate in one of the booths. I have never seen anything that beautiful! It was so skillfully done – I figured these are stone ones and walked bythem several times. Here are several ways to dress up the space behind the bridal table.

Wedding Decorations: Backdrop for the head table

The simple 3 – piece set of so-called “cloud” clusters, connected with tulle. A very simple and effective way to decorate a wedding. Also used with 5 pieces if the head table is long.

Other types of fabric can be used, but only tulle is light enough to be lifted by helium. But, if there is a wish to use heavier material, the same (or any other type of clusters) can be suspended from the ceiling or be supported by a frame – the final look will be exactly the same.

Wedding Decoratins: Heart Backdrop

A standard, but very effective way to create a focal point. Here any fabric can be used. If the room is very large, a big heart can be the main decorating peace to create the “WOW!” effect. That is exactly how our clients achieved it a few months ago – see the picture below.

In this case, it is not just the backdrop, it is the centerpiece of the wedding. And, sure enough, every guest said “WOW!” entering the room…

Wedding decorations: Balloon arch with tule between columns

Somewhat unusual decoration with non-traditional colors for a wedding: black and white. Two columns connected with an arch with tulle.

As always, there is a choice: traditional design or something new. Some people loved it, some did not understand how can anybody use black for a wedding. In any case, black balloons look very sharp against a white ceiling.

A lot of times, when planing wedding decorations (or any party decorations) people forget about the background color. Worst case scenario: white wedding dress, white table cloths, white flowers and even white balloons (!!!) in a white tent.
